One of my favourite techniques for myself and clients is EFT Tapping. In fact, I do at least one round of EFT tapping on myself most days.
It’s simple enough to teach children and is very quick and effective ‘in the moment’ when you’re spiralling into an emotional reaction. You can calm that reaction down within minutes. And it’s brilliant for treating stress and anxiety.
The tool you can take with you
It’s a great technique for your toolkit, it doesn’t require any fancy expensive equipment, its empowering because you can learn to do it yourself, and it’s completely portable. It’s literally at your fingertips because with EFT tapping, you tap certain points on your body to release stuck emotions.
It sounds too good to be true doesn’t it!?
International EFT Tapping month
That’s why I’m delighted that International EFT Tapping month [#TappingMonth] takes place each August, to celebrate the power of EFT Tapping.
The official website contains 31 days of free resources and information to help make your life better. You’ll find worksheets, PDFs of tapping guides, MP3 audio files for listening, links to videos, information about events online and in person talks. You can follow weekly themes such as finances, relationships, conquering procrastination and my favourite one – recovery from physical pain and health issues!
EFT is an alternative healing modality
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Tapping is an alternative healing modality like acupuncture but without the needles. It was founded in the 1990s by Gary Craig, who used protocols developed earlier by Dr. Roger Callahan. According to the ITM website, EFT Tapping is used globally by more than eight million people.
If you’re intrigued to find out more, you can watch a short video I did during lockdown about tapping away stress and worry. Tap along with me and see how you feel.
If you like it, take advantage of a special offer during August. Quote EFT50 when making a booking and get your first session for half price – that’s just £25.
Although EFT can be learned by anybody, for free, online, it can be helpful to have someone guiding your first session and tapping with you because we don’t always see ourselves objectively, plus it’s good to have someone to answer any questions you might have.
